LCS Plan for Reopening Schools

LCS Plan for Student Re-Entry to Schools

On September 1, the Lexington City School Board approved a plan to return K-12 students to schools beginning October 21

The re-entry will follow Governor Cooper's "Plan B" option, which is:

  • Employ social distancing guidelines
  • No more than 50% occupancy in facilities and classrooms
  • Enhanced health protocols for all, including screeners for all staff and students
  • Blended learning for all students

Please know that the driving force behind our decisions will always be the safety and security of staff and students.
